Mobile Harbour Cranes
Montecon works with mobile harbour cranes for carrying out the activity of loading and unloading containers and all kinds of bulk merchandise. A special feature of these cranes, designed to lift 100 tons each, is their mounting on wheels, which allows their free movement along any of the port’s piers. Our cranes are available to serve vessels of the PANAMAX and POST-PANAMAX type, without limitations of any kind.
Reachstacker for handling full containers
A reachstacker is, by definition, a flexible piece of equipment that allows an ample coverage of spaces in reduced time periods. Thanks to such versatile equipment, Montecon is able to carry out its duties, without limitations, throughout the whole area of the Port of Montevideo. This type of reachstackers are capable of handling full containers up to 45 tons, to be stowed in stacks of up to 6 units in height.
Reachstacker for handling empty containers
A reachstacker for empty containers is an extremely flexible and dynamic piece of equipment, with high mobility, capable of responding to services required in any possible space within the port premises. Montecon applies this type of equipment to specialized operations at the empty container depot. These reachstackers can handle up to 11 tons and stow containers in stacks of up to 5 units in height.
RTG
An RTG (Rubber Tyred Gantry) is a very useful piece of equipment for working in reduced spaces with less yard movements necessary. This enables customers to receive an efficient service at a minimum cost. These units are capable of handling containers of up to 40 tons and stow them in stacks of up to 4 units in height.
Fork-lifts
Fork-lifts are support equipment used in different operations such as container stripping and the handling of support tools during vessel operations, among other applications. They also play a key role in the maintenance of Montecon’s other equipment.
Man-lifts
A man-lift is a highly flexible piece of equipment that allows access to containers stowed in stacks of up to 5. It is used mainly for monitoring reefers, inspecting containers and for repairs.
